Programs

ProgramsOne of the ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) programs offered at IMCR is an arbitration service for Lemon Law cases.

In 1987 the Attorney General of New York State established a program to provide an efficient, independent and fair forum for settling disputes in which the consumer believes they have purchased or leased a new or used vehicle that's a "lemon." The program also covers motorized wheelchairs. More detailed information regarding Lemon Law Arbitration, including a Consumer Guide for both new, used or leased vehicles and/or a copy of the New Car Bill of Rights, you may contact the Attorney General's office at 1-800-771-7755. If you are hearing impaired call 1-800-788-9898.

Cases that qualify under the guidelines for Lemon Law Arbitration, are referred to IMCR through NYSDRA (New York State Dispute Resolution Association) where IMCR functions as a subcontractor if one or both parties live in the Bronx.
